About your personal year
It's a number from 1 to 9 (plus master numbers 11, 22, and 33) that sets the leading theme of a given year for you personally. It's drawn from your day and month of birth combined with the digits of the year itself, so everyone's rhythm of years is different. A Personal Year doesn't predict events; it points to what the year responds to most readily: beginnings, a pause, change, or completion.
We count from January 1 so the forecast lines up with the ordinary calendar. There's a second school of thought that runs the year from one birthday to the next. Both are valid; the only difference is the moment one year hands off to the next. If your birthday falls near the New Year, the one or two transition months often feel mixed, and that's perfectly normal.
We add the digits of your birth day, the digits of your birth month, and the digits of the chosen year, then reduce the total to a single digit. Your day and month stay fixed and only the year changes, so the number cycles from 1 to 9 year after year. Years don't move one at a time but in turns of nine: year 1 is a fresh start, years 2 through 8 unfold the theme, and year 9 is completion and clearing before the next turn begins. Knowing where you are in the cycle makes it easier not to swim against the current: a year of beginnings invites bold moves, while a year of completion is for closing things out rather than launching something new.
When the total lands on master number 11 or 22, we don't reduce it to 2 or 4; it stays as it is. Such a year works on the same underlying theme (11 is close to 2, 22 to 4) but with noticeably greater intensity and demand. These are high-stakes years: more opportunity, but more is asked of you too, so it matters more than usual to conserve your energy and not take everything on at once.
